About Fix It Forward Speedway
Fix It Forward Speedway is a 3/8 mile semi banked dirt oval at 1805 Main Avenue West in West Fargo, North Dakota, on the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. It races Friday nights at 7:00 with six IMCA and INEX divisions, and it brings the World of Outlaws to the Fargo area each summer. Until 2026 it was known as Red River Valley Speedway, the name it carried for decades.
A New Name on an Old Track
The rename came in April 2026 through a naming rights partnership with Fix It Forward Auto Care, a local business. The Red River Valley Fair Association's CEO framed the deal plainly: rising costs and a changing motorsports landscape made the partnership necessary to keep racing going in West Fargo.
The sponsor's owner made a similar point from the other side, saying he could spend marketing money in ways that send it out of state or he could spend it on something that helps the local community.
Nothing about the racing changed. It is the same track at the same fairgrounds that fans have known for years, with the same Friday night schedule. Recent seasons have also added a Kids Zone on the grounds, giving younger fans something to do between features.
Friday Night Racing
The weekly card runs six divisions: IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and INEX Legends.
Winged 305 sprint cars on a weekly card is what sets this track apart from most in the region. Sprints are usually a special event class, but at West Fargo they race every week, which means a Friday night here carries more speed than a standard stock car program.

World of Outlaws in West Fargo
The track hosts the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, the top sprint car series in the country. On a Outlaws night the schedule runs longer than usual, with pit gates opening in the early afternoon, grandstands in the late afternoon, hot laps around 6:30 and racing at 7:30.
Tickets for those events are sold in advance through a promoter rather than at the gate, and package deals combining a reserved seat with a pit pass have been available ahead of race day. Buying early is the right move, since a national touring series in the Fargo metro draws a crowd.
Getting There
The speedway is on Main Avenue West at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, just off I-94 in the Fargo and Moorhead metro. That is the largest population center in North Dakota, so this track has a bigger natural audience than any other dirt oval in the state.
